Manager of Curriculum and Instruction

We are currently seeking a certified instructional design/curriculum and instruction professional who will manage the planning, delivery, assessment and ongoing improvement of curriculum for the online programs utilized by VLN partner school districts.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Valid Pennsylvania certificate – curriculum and instruction; preferred

- Successful teaching and administrative experience in a K-12 public school setting

- Effective organizational planning and project management skills

- Computer literate with knowledge of online instruction is preferred

- Excellent communications skills

Professional Responsibilities:

- Help manage the overall efficacy of online courses delivered on the VLN Partners’ network

- Help maintain the appropriate rigor in assessment and course development

- Promote academic excellence in the online environment

- Keep current with all K-12 courses of study, each district’s scope and sequence framework and state standards and guidelines

- Provide leadership for instructional modifications and interventions that enhance student learning and improve test results.

Course Developers

Are you comfortable with online publishing technologies? Do you enjoy scouring the web for the latest & greatest websites? Have you ever been a member of a production team that creates multimedia presentations? If you can answer "yes" to any or all of these questions, we have a position for you. Our Curriculum Directors work with member districts to help them create their own customized online lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically savvy person with some experience to learn a great deal about online learning. Experience with multimedia authoring and web-site design is helpful and a current PA Instructional Technology Specialist certificate is a big plus.

Cyber School Teachers

VLN Partners is seeking certified teachers to conduct online lessons and to manage virtual classrooms. All candidates must hold a current PA teaching certificate and computer skills & experience with some form of online instruction is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to earn a good income as you learn about emerging technologies.
